Hung during Restore

I was playing with my iphone 3gs ( MB 3.1.3 ) and the phone went into recovery mode ( itunes and usb cable logo ). I tried to turn off and on, put into dfu mode, restore but nothing happened. when i restore to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 or 4.0 or 4.0.1 or 4.0.2 itunes hungs and my iphone restore progress stucks in between with apple logo and half done progress bar. I tried restoring several times over the weekend but nothing helpdd. Downloaded a custom fw and tried to restore but the same error.

I had this exact problem, I solved it by removing itunes 9.2 and installing itunes 9.1

After that I was able to complete the restore, but to activate I had to go back to itunes 9.2

i removed 9.2 and installed 9.1, still the same problem

when it gets hung does it give an error after a period of time, you can use tinyumbrella to kick the phone out of recovery mode and see if the restore was actually successful, I get to about the same point on my wife's iPhone 4 and it evetually errors out but I kick it out of recovery with tinyumbrella and all is good, give it a try

not sure what i did...i downloaded quickpwn and ran it....my phone started working with 3.1.3...
