Help please
Hey guys, I have a 3gs jb and unlocked on TMobile, running 3.0.1(7A400) the model is MC137LL modem firmware is 04.26.08
I would like to upgrade to os 4.0.1. is that possible? and still be able to jb and unlock.
Or should I upgrade to 3.1.3 and call it a day. I really appreciate the help everybody. If you can give me a walkthrough it would be incredibly appreciated. I am on PC by the way. Thanks again.

I believe so I go to cydia and it says on top that I do have the shsh files there for this device
should I go with 4.0 or 4.0.1Last edited by zeeman04; 08-15-2010 at 03:32 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

you can jailbreak and unlock anything up to 4.0.1 at the moment, 3.1.3 as good app support in cydia still, but every where else iOS4 is better, and you will need the 4.0/4.0.1 3GS firmware from this website

download it, then either edit your host files so they point to cydia's, or download Tinyumbrella and click start TSS server, then in iTunes shift+click restore and pick the FW you downloaded, after you have upgraded and activated, set it up as a new phone so your less likely to have problems, then jailbreak it at jailbreakme.com and install ultrasn0w for your unlock
