trying to downgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0 and erroring out

i am getting an unknown error occured (3014)...i had the tss running when i went to the shift restore in itunes. yes my shsh is saved there...did it when we all got the phone. what am i missing...seems like i am doing all the correct steps but still not working

i dont recall which that is...is it the one where you turn it off and hold down the home key while plugging it in to the cord? that is the method i am doing

that is recovery mode, this is how you put it in DFU mode
