Can't send or receive text messages

I recently jailbroke my 3G running on 4.01 using redsn0w. Everything seems to be working fine except for text messaging. I can't send or receive text messages. When I go into the messages app to send a message it starts the send then crashes back to the springboard.

I've tried restarting the phone and that doesn't seem to work. When I first jailbroke the phone I tried sending and receiving and there were no problems.

Any thoughts would be great.

Try a restore maybe you just got a bad firmware download. It should help I think.
