Question for the mods

I see lots of people asking for whomever to "hit the thanks button if I helped". Am I
missing something here, do we get a prize if we have a certain number of "thanks"? Seriously though, I personally feel that if I helped someone they will thank me without having to ask. Just wondering if having a high "thanks" count meant anything special.

I like getting "thanked" as well, I just don't feel like it should be asked for

I don't think its right for someone to say thank me in their post, but if they say it in their signature at least it's not as annoying. I've also noticed someone with a gif in their signature of them clicking the thanks button and that's pretty cool.

If you are helpful enough they will thank without being asked, that is where the true value lies, therefore people who ask SUCK :P
