    Default restore my iphone through a downloaded 4.0.1?

    I downloaded iPhone3,1_4.0.1_8A306_Restore.ipsw and am wondering if i could restore my iphone through it in itunes by shift and clicking restore?

    Did you back up your SHSH? If not then I don't think so, I think that's only a case with the i4 an 3gs though.
