Quick jailbreakme.com question

I can't find a definitive answer by searching, so I'm commiting the cardinal sin and asking. Does jailbreakme.com work on a 3G running 3.1.2 that's never been jailbroken before? I saw that it can on 3G running IOS 4, but can't see if it works on earlier versions.

Use Redsn0w 0.9.3.

Does not require SIM to activate like jailbreakme or Spirit. Tho if you do have an official carrier SIM, you can use those options.

Redsn0w youll need to download the 3.1.2 ipsw to use.

Yes it does, but if you are on a 3G you can also use redsn0w to JB, even the lates 4.0.2 iOS. Jailbreakme.com only does up to 4.0.1
