    Default Mail hangs and crashes

My iPhone 4 has been acting up ever since I jailbroke via jailbreakme.com
Hangs when checking for new mail. Oddly enough when I hold the home button down it always says backgrounder disable, and clears the hang but it just happens again. Anybody know what's going on? Thanks.

You don't know that you installed Backgrounder?

Yes but why does background automatically engage?

So if you single press the home button it backgrounds?

If so, simply go to settings>activator and change it

Personally the settings I would use on backgrounder are: "auto detect", "enable at launch", and deselect all controls.

I tried many different combos. Mail just hangs for no apparent reason.

Either it's something about using native multitasking vs backgrounder, in which you would need to change some settings.
If not you should try uninstalling backgrounder, if it is fixed reinstall, and if still broken restore.
