Try Ultrasnow in cydia to unlock and just wait until the cydia servers accept your SSHS you will be fine. It took about a week for mine to be accepted.

The TSS pending just means that Cydia is trying to save your SHSHs. It's there so that even when you do "accidentally" update the OS, and lose your JB/unlock, you can downgrade.
It doesn't affect the functionality of Cydia, so just use it as if the message was not there.

I would just go ahead and unlock it. I believe the server is just verying the SSSHs are legit and not like a virus or something. Nut up and do it! lol

You can unlock now. In a few days the pending TSS message will be replaced with one saying what shsh files cydia has saved for that phone.

I just got an iPhone 4 with 4.0.1, installed Cydia, then restored back to 4.0.1.. Is there something wrong with doing that? Cause I'm pretty sure the pending TSS message didn't turn green before I restored.
I've now reinstalled Cydia and have the pending TSS message, I didn't even know what it was before I restored the first time :/ help?
Also, I installed 2 things that Cydia wanted me to the first time, I dno what they were, but it didn't ask me to this time. Any ideas what they would have been? Thanks!
& what are you guys referring to when saying 'unlock' it?Last edited by Salyu; 08-10-2010 at 11:11 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

no problem with restoring to 4.0.1 because apple is still signing that firmware, shsh's are used for restoring to firmwares that apple is not signing, so for instance when 4.1 is released and you "accidentally" update to it before there is a jailbreak available you will be able to restore back to 4.0.1 or whatever firmware you have shsh's for even though apple has stopped signing that firmware, as for what they mean by unlocking, that allows someone to use an unofficial carrier sim (i.e. t-mobile) instead of AT&T (in the US) or whatever sim in other countries

Sorry jkmonkey, didn't realise.
Thx j3st3r3!
how do you restore using an shsh? And do you think I'll get mine saved in Cydia after what I described having done? It's still pending atm.
I thought that was what unlocking meant, don't think I'll bother till I need to though.Last edited by Salyu; 08-11-2010 at 11:54 AM.

Quick question. My bro just jailbroke his 3GS phone, but wants to upgrade to iphone 4. His TSS is still pending. Can he do a restore while it's still pending so it's just like new (no sign of jailbreak), so he can trade in a fresh 3gS for a new 4g? He doesn't need to keep anything he downloaded via cydia. Thanks!

Yes. Just make sure he does a full factory restore. One suggestion I would say do, some may not agree, is go to setting>general>reset. From there choose the "Erase all Content and Settings" this to me makes it a double guarantee it will all be erased. Then do the restore on Itunes.
Quick question. How can he "trade" in his 3GS for a new IP4?

Thanks for the quick help! Radio Shack had a promotion when the iPhone 4 first came out where you could literally trade your old 3gs for a 4 and only pay tax, and of course sign a new contract. They called him today, the morning after I convinced him to jailbreak.

The scary thing is that the Apple JUST released the 4.0.2 that will block the jailbreak and I am sure some new phones will have it. Be careful.
