iPhone 3gs reboot
Hello, i have an iPHone 3gs unlocked and jailbroken on 4.0.1. Everything has been working great until i went to turn the phone off and back on. Everytime it turns back on, i get the green lines at the top, which i know is normal, but then my phone freezes and reboots itself. Anyone have any suggestions
Ive been reading on how i need to put it into DFU mode, but my phone will not go into DFU mode, ive tried everything. ANy help would be appreciatedLast edited by funky_kracka; 08-06-2010 at 10:53 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

First connect your phone to your computer, then power off your phone, after that hold the power/wake button and home button untill you hear a chime on your computer (raise the volume) after the chime let go of the power button but keep holding the home button, wait until you hear another chime. iTunes should detect your iPhone now, if you get a black screen and iTunes has detected your iPhone means your in DFU mode, if you get an iTunes logo with a charger cable picture, means you're in restore/recovery mode. If you are in recovery/restore mode then redo the steps I listed above first by turning off your iPhone while connected etc. You NEED to have a black screen this means you are in DFU mode.

Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Follow that, just uninstalling wont do, do what the guide says, then restart comp, then reinstall iTunes it will give the other programs aswell, then restart comp again and see if it recognizes.

It shouldn't be that hard but I guess that's what Apple does...
I was also wondering if you have tried plugging it into any other computer?

If you guys are having problems entering DFU, try entering recovery mode instead. I once had a problem going into DFU too so I went into recovery mode instead and it worked fine (in terms of iTunes detecting my device for restore).
