Hello I'm very new to this apple world! And I just heard about the new jb for all devices! My iPhone is a 3gs fw 3.1.2 baseband 05.11.07! And it's jb using blackrain! This is the way I bought it and it's cool and all but I hate that everytime the battery dies or I accidently turn it off I have to hook it up to the computer to run blackrain again! So my question is, Is it save to update to 4.0 and jb with the new jbme.com and unlock using ultrasnow? Another thing I'm afraid is gettig stuck on the emergency screen for not having an AT&T sim card to activate! Please let me know if anyone can help! ThAnks!
Yes you can upgrade to 4.0.1 and use jailbreakme and ultrasn0w to unlock, but you would need an AT&T sim to activate the phone after upgrading to 4.0.1. Maybe you know someone you could borrow one from for a few minutes?
