Confused....
I jailbroke my phone (iphone 4) without a problem using "jailbreakme".
Last night I synced my phone with itunes (8.2 or something like that. Either way it's the latest version), just wanting to add/delete some movies and remove/add some apps. Didn't think there would be a problem.
Now i don't know if my phone is still jailbroken.
All apps downloaded from Cydia and Rock aren't visible any longer.
I have to use the search feature of the phone to locate Cydia, Rock, Iwipe Cache, etc.
Does anyone know how i can resolve this issue? Is my phone still jailbroken? If not, can i just do jailbreakme and jailbreak again? If not, what do i have to do?
Thanks in advance.

Go into sbsettings/more/hide
Icons and see if they're on or off.

I can't locate sbsettings on my phone.
entered that into search and it doesn't show up.
didn't know where else to look, so i tried winterboard and found nothing. Went into "regular" settings and found nothing.
Don't know where else to look.

Sbsettings is a drop down menu when you swipe the status bar, if you haven't got it do so.

Also wanted to mention that in my "regular" settings I do see "Activator", Privacy" and "Winterboard".
I tried to get it before when i first read about it (this is the first iphone i've ever owned so did some reading on what i might need). I installed but swiping didn't work. I'll try it again. Gimme a sec and i'll get back to you. Thanks.
I actually did have it the whole time and didn't know it. I was swiping "down". Then i just tried to swipe across, from left to right, and it worked. but i went to "hide icons" and there's about ten empty spaces with the "slides" switched to on. Below that are a list of my apps. They all appear to be there. Ones downloaded before the jailbreak and the ones afterwards. They are switch to "on" as well. The "header" says "Off Hides". I don't know if that is significant or not.Last edited by TheTattooKid; 08-05-2010 at 06:09 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Switch to 'off' the apps you are having problems with, respring, go back in and switch to 'on' then reboot

yes. what i should've mentioned (didn't think it was important)was i have one page where ther is just one app only. the rest of the page was "occupied" by iblank i believe. i deleted the iblanks. i went into poof, started to switch some apps off (was gona do the respring thing again, decide not to), switch the couple of apps back on then did respring just to see what would happen. i only noticed one app showed up. that was the first on the list. 360 Emulator. now there's two apps on that page and the blanks are back.

Do you still have the theme on on winterboard, if so switch off. See of they appear, if not switch off in poof, respring, switch back on then do a hard reset hold power and home button for 20seconds

took theme off a long time ago. another thing i think is happening is the fact that you can only have a max of 11 pages. all pages were full with "single" apps. Meaning i didn't have any (i forget the correct term)bundled together. You know, where you can take an app place on top of another and continue to do so, then give that category of apps a name? so i just did that to get more room on the pages.
after doing the above, on a hunch, i figured i should follow what you initially instructed me to do. and it worked. All apps are now visible.
1. Got rid of the iblanks taking up space on the page.
2. Categorized apps (one on top of the other creating folders)
which in turn created space on the 11 pages for more apps to become "visible".
3. went into poof, switched off
4. respring
5. went into poof, switched on
6. apps are now visible
I just want to thank you guys for helping me out. I like to brainstorm and all that good stuff. But sometimes you just can't figure it out on your own. Sometimes you need more than one mind to solve the problem.
So knowing what I had in front of me and what i was able to physically see coupled with your experience just saved the day. I really appreciate it. Thanks.
ps. along the way i learned some stuff about the phone (sbsettings for example. had it and didn't even know! and other things). So again. Thanks.Last edited by TheTattooKid; 08-05-2010 at 07:49 AM.
