Are you using JailbreakMe.com?

Yes - used jailbreakme.com on 4.0 then upgraded to 4.0.1. Now when I go to jailbreakme.com I'm able to download but then it crashes safari before it tells me to sit tight. Cleared safari history, cookies, cache made sure safari in multi-task is closed.
Again thanks for the help!

I got my iphone 4 yesturday on 4.0.1 1st thing I did took it out the shop went home activated it and jailbroke everything is working fine apart from mms.
Download the 4.0.1 file save it as .ipsw if your downloading from internet explorer.
Put your phone in DFU mode. power off phone plug the usb cable to your computer in hold power button and home for 10 secs then release the power just holding the home there are vids how to on youtube.
then press shift retore on Itunes. select the file to restore 4.0.1 back up iphone when done. jailbreak the phone restart it then save from back up the file you just made. everything should work fine

I have the same problem TopGun1 when I try to jb my phone this morning.
That's weird because the did the same thing to my friend phone yesterday morning, and another phone for my boss at work in the afternoon, both went well and have no problem.
I'm guessing the website is crashed for a monment and hopefully someone is fixing it.

Same problem here. Anyone have a solution? Has safari been patched to prevent jb?

Exact same problem for me. I JB's my iP4 on iOS 4.0 via jailbreakme.com and it worked fine. THe next night I upgraded to iOS 4.0.1 and went to re JB and it does the same thing. It says it is downloading then crashed Safari back to the home screen. Then when I go back in it gives me the "Oops... crashed" message and does the same thing.
I have searched everywhere and can not find any solutions apart from "you need to restore".....

i had similar problems as well. All you need to do to fix the problem is to restore your phone or if still can't..go settings and reset all settings. That's what I did to solve the problem

To fix the sit tight crash problem you must FULLY RESTORE with ITUNES your iphone and activate it again then to go to jailbreakme.com it will work only when you do that I had the same problem.

What the last 3 said.
I restored last night and it JB's @ 4.0.1 just fine. A bit of a pain in the a$, but hey, it's not like we paid for JB is it!
