restore 1002 error

Hello. first post here but i am devastated. Thats what happened to me.
Updated my iPhone 3gs to 4.0.1 this morning and jailbreaked it at jailbreakme.com. Everything just fine. Then i've tried installed iBooks from apple store, my iphone got stuck. I rebooted it with SBTool and when it rebooted there was No Service. Then i've tried to turn it off and then on and ONLY EMERGENCY CALLS.
Ok then i said, first time to restore it. Tried to restore, the process on the phone was almost done, waited for 25 minutes then: "iPhone cannot be restored, error 1002". Read on the net that my iphone was stuck in a restore loop and must me kicked out from umbrella. Tried that, then back to ONLY EMERGENCY CALLS and IMEI and ECCID : Uknown. What to do?

It looks like you need to re-activate, just plug into itunes.

It says that "there is no SIM Card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate" when i try to activate it

Have you tried ensuring the sim card is seated correctly?

Yes. I even tried two different sim cards. On the upper left corner it says "Searching...". The iphone itself was ok on 3.1.3 and ok on 4.0.1 when updated so i dont think its locked.

even without the sim card, on the upper left corner it keeps saying Searching.. and after a minute or so it says "Restore Needed"
