How to make it so apps can't tell if phone is jailbroken?
Hi,
A banking app that I use won't run on jailbroken iPhones. If you run it when jailbroken, a message comes up saying it doesnt run on hacked phones. Is there a way to trick the app into thinking the phone isn't jailbroken?
Cheers

The problem occurs on a very small amount of apps. I've used two that it has occurred with. Skype, but I could still use it. And NotifyMe. I later purchased NotifyMe because I like it a lot. Point is, if you really need the app just pay for it.

That's the problem...The app is free!! It's a free banking app which (im guessing for 'security' reasons) won't run on jailbroken iPhones.

Hahaha.....ya, there is the second problem; it's the banks iPhone app, so there are no alternatives. So I either use the app and don't jailbreak, or jailbreak and use all that comes with that and not the banking app i use all the time.

Nope. In Korea it was LAW (until a few weeks ago) that all banking transactions must go through Internet Explorer and use ActiveX (Safari won't work). I don't run windows and hence need the app to do my banking.

In the same boat here, none of my banking apps or pay systems will work on JB iPhone. I think its pretty annoying how Korea has set their internet standard to IE and activeX controls, but thats another rant for another day.
But yeah still trying to find a way to trick apps into thinking its not jailbroken... any other ideas?
