3GS 4.0.1 jailbreaked, how to unlock?

Got to cydia, add source

ios4.ultrasn0w.org (sn0w) with a zero.
Add the source, click done.
Install source, reboot phone, and it's unlocked. Just did it myself.

Well no problem at all.
I'm on T-Mobile and now I have to fix the rest of the settings, internet works fine, text fine, don't know about mms just yet.

I just don't get it. I've followed all these instructions on IOS 4.0.1 on Iphone3G and it just won't unlock. I keep getting the locked sim notice.

I just tried this with ultrasn0w, and the unlock works, but it's buggy as all hell. Jailbroke on 4.0, and apps are crashing...

If youre on a 3G and 4.0 that will cause app crashes. The unlock doesnt cause it. If youre not on a 3G phone, youll probably need a restore and set phone up as new.

Restore and jailbreak and reunlock the same way. Just make sure you set your phone up as new.
