I have a iPod Touch, firmware 3.1.3 and jailbroken using Spirit. I am waiting for the Spirit Jailbreak for iOS 4 before upgrading.
In the meantime, I want to figure out how to keep all my application data, since I have some really awwwesome games that take a long time to play. Also, I read on other forums and places that you can use PKGbackup and some other apps to keep some of the data from before restoring.
However, the problems with this include the following:
1. application data is not saved.
2. all apps must be from either the app store or cydia.
So this is when iPhone Folders comes in. I am thinking, there must be a file or something in each app folder that tells the app about my saved games and preferences and high scores and stuff.
But, the trouble is I am kind of tech-dumb. So i need to know some stuff:
1. Will this work, or will there be compatibility issues with the new iOS 4 firmware?
2. What files do I copy before I restore?
3. Is there anything I might mess up and completely screw over my iPod? any stuff I should watch for?
Thanks in advance.
PS, my iPod will not sync music and videos with iTunes, even though I installed some certain things from cydia. Is there something that will allow my music and videos to sync to my jailbroken iPod?

Although in Canada our mentality (i think) is that this is simply file sharing. Someone bought an app, and was kind enough to share their private property with other people..
anyways, if someone would like to share their though about this with me, please email at [email protected]
not really, but i am sure there is someone willing to. i will let you know if i find someone though
anyways, i edited my questions so it abides by the rules (i think)
