Yes - no help. I can get out of the recovery mode. Read another post about "installd" missing from /usr/libexec, but I can't file that folder from a ramdisk boot.
Also tried renaming the Applications folder, no help. Something just be stuck in the boot logic. If I can figure out what file is messed up in the boot up, I can modify/delete it in the ramdisk boot mode.

I've got a 3G running 3.1.3 / 5.12.01, and stupidly decided to use blacksn0w via Cydia last night so I could use a new SIM.
It's stuck on the Apple logo on boot, so I'm guessing it's due to the BB being wrong.
Question is - can I get access to the phone without a restore? All I need is five minutes with the apps to copy out important data, and then I can restore it again. If that means I SSH in (if possible, no SSH installed via cydia before) and disable the commcenter or whatever, please please let me know how I can do that.
Thanks very much for anyone willing to help.

I have got a really anoying problem with my iPhone 4S. Yes, you guessed right, it is stucked at the Apple Logo when booting! Really that logo is really.. grr! Well anyway, I have a lot of valuable stuff like photos etc. and my last backup was some weeks ago. Therefore I am not willing to wipe it all and install iOS 5.0.1 on new. Soo, I would like to ask you guys if you can give me a little hope Would a new update of Redsn0w supporting 4S and iOS 5.0.1 be able to solve this problem? I remember I had this problem once before on an iPod Touch and a re-jailbreak (or "fix boot", can't remember) solved the problem. I am willing to wait for such a update if it means that I am not forced to delete all data.
Thanks in advance, I really hope that someone can answer me on this question. - I doubt that I am the only one out there

Today when i tried to "slide to unlock" my 3GS, i noticed that the phone was "frozen". I tought that a hard reset will do the trick but the phone remained stuck in Apple`s Bootlogo. I tried to re-jailbreak it with redsn0w (latest version) and no chance, tried also with a tethered boot, then i tried sn0wbreeze ... still no chance. I can connect it to iPhoneBrowser, iFunbox succesfully but i don`t know what to erase or fix.
I have ios 4.3.3.

pogijeffrey 02:16 PM Today
hi everyone. got a bit of a problem. my iphone 4 is currently jailbroken on firmware 4.3.3 untethered jailbreak using redsnow. the phone has been great for a year now. i use a gevey sim to unlock. so today i noticed that my phone had no service, so that means i would have to reboot and do my normal gevey sim unlock process. but this time my phone wont get pass the boot logo. is there anyway to restore the device without have to lose my data? please help.... it happened to once before when i was at the phillipines and i had a 3gs at the time. i brought he phone to an apple resale store and they were able to fix it without having to wipe out my data. i just dont know what method they used at the time. and that time i had my phone jailbroken using blackrain...

I'm sorry. I'm a noob when it comes to this. Can any of you help me? Heres the problem.
Details: iPhone 4s (ios5) Jailbroken with greenpoison.
Been working fine for a month
Beginning of problem: Removed an app from Cydia and screen froze.
Problem: I turned the phone off, now when I turn it back on it sits on the Apple load screen (for hours at a time!) Earlier it made it to the lock screen, but I only had control for 3-5 seconds before it did a respring (this kept happening)
I thought restarting it one last time would be a good idea. I turned it off and back on, and it's at the wait screen again.
Extra: iTunes won't recognize the phone is connected
Leaving it on the charger isn't working
I've entered DFU mode quite a few times, and after a few seconds, it attempts to turn back on.
I have SBSettings installed, but can't pull up the menu from anywhere but the unlocked phone or the lock screen.

[Deleted original post, about being stuck at the Apple logo on boot.]
Just wanted to mention, I've been able to fix every post-5.0.1 problem I've had by installing Corona 1.0.8 over my original PwnageTool 5.0.1-installed Jailbreak. Maybe that will help someone else.

i have my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 jailbroken (shsh saved and factory unlocked) stuck in the apple logo loop, turning on and off. The only thing i can succeed is putting it into recovery mode. The problem is that i would like to avoid to restore it.
Is there a way to exit this loop with some fix without restoring the iPhone?

I am stuck on the Apple Logo. I don't know what to do. Its an iPhone 3G. Not sure the firmware on it. I had it jailbroken and unlocked.
I took the sim out and switched to my new iPhone 4. Now its just stuck on the logo, I was about to sell it to a friend, but I am not sure what to do.
I did the recovery fix and it ran through everything and then just put me straight back to the iPhone logo.
