[SOLUTION] iPhone shut off during boot / Stuck Apple Logo

I know some of you have windows only. I just posted instructions and my custom redsn0w and now I'm working on a windows solution for you guys, as we speak. I'm not only hoping, but expecting success stories from many of you soon. Reading my instructions will shed a lot of light on this mystery and will probably become a good trick/tool for future problems.

So I won't leave you hanging. More to follow...

Quite ingenuous, using redsn0w and cydia as a way of deploying the payload. That was the missing linking for me
The Rock guys told everybody that (/sbin) was deleted and I was expecting a fix from them to restore the /sbin directory (the least they should have done in my opinion).
But since I got no answer from them I tried redsn0w because I knew that there's a verbose option in there to see really what was happening under the hood. I saw like you also did that the fsck was missing but never thought of using cydia inside reds0w to deploy the missing files.

Is there any redsn0w for Linux?
Maybe it's possible to do exactly the same with a live cd and redsnow as with the MAC version?
I don't have access to a mac like some here (until next week at least) and redsn0w for windows is a single standalone .exe

Oh and why don't you upload to rapidshare, mediafire or others to save bandwidth costs?

Before I started messing with redsn0w, I was sending payload data using Blackra1n in Windows, but switched to the Mac to speed up the process to surprise her for Mother's Day. She was pretty down about this, and it really had me motivated to get this working.

I am working on the Windows version as I type this, so i'll keep you posted on my progress.

I hope there aren't too many folks who already restored, because this is truly fixable.

I'm also limited to a Windows PC only, and my phone is doing this.

I really need my phone! This sucks.

Not trying to steal from this thread, but some of you are like a pack of wolves. Youve prob had your phone out of commission for a week, maybe 2, maybe a month, maybe even longer. Is it really gonna kill you to wait a few more days while he gets the Windows version up and working?!

How about I woke up to it dead this morning, and my iphone is pretty essential to my JOB. I live alone, don't have a home phone line- and there is only so much you can do through facebook and e-mail, esp. with 60 year-old parents that are hundreds of miles away. Id much rather have my phone restored to as-is, then go through a shady upgrade and re-jailbreak process.

My iPhone did this about 2 hours ago.

People call this a Rock issue, yet I have never even installed Rock on my phone, only Cydia.

I upgraded all the requested upgrades a few days ago on Cydia.

Anyone else get this problem from Cydia and not Rock?
