Default Connection refused trying to SSH into 3G 3.1.3
I have an iPhone 3G 3.1.3 and I have jailbroken it using Spirit. I am on a Mac (snow leopard). I installed OpenSSH and SBSettings through Cydia. I have been trying to SSH into it with no success.

    Used Terminal: ssh [email protected].x
Response: ssh: connect to host 172.16.xx.x port 22: Connection refused

I have restored my phone twice as well thinking that might fix it.

    Can anyone help?

check your firewall, username and password or get ifile and you can use the iphone as a webserver.

Can you explain which username and password you are referring to?
And when i get them where and how do i enter them?

I am new to this ubuntu and ssh stuff as I am trying to recover some files on my iphone before i start using it again.

    Thanks.

Default user name and password is root and alpine. With sbsettings make sure the ssh toggle is turned on, and you dont have to hide that ip its just local.
