rejailbreak with redsn0w and don't check verbose boot. make sure you check "already pwned" or "just boot tethered"

I heard this causes some problems by reinstalling cydia and then preventing you from being able to uninstall packages - do you know if this is true?

that's why you check "already pwned" so it doesn't do that

Yeah even when you do that it reinstalls apparently. Could have been a bug with an older version I'm not too sure

Have you tried this with the latest redsn0w ? 0.9.4?

The different versions are for different devices, it's not that 0.9.4 is newer, it's just for a different device.

0.9.2 should be used for 3GS and 3G phones.

In your case, just be sure to uncheck 'install cydia' and do check 'already pwned' and then whichever option you want for verbose mode.

0.9.4 works for some on 3g but others ave problems with it. use 0.9.2 or 0.9.3 for 3g

Ah okay - should I use 0.9.2 to remove verbose even though I used 0.9.4 to jailbreak? or does it make no difference?

Unchecked install cydia on 0.9.2 and it reinstalled Cydia anyway (had to update it again). The packages I had previously installed are also missing from the packages list. For the record, how should I got about uninstalling them if I need to?
