Apple won´t verify any restore
Hi,
i have iPhone 3GS, 3.1.2 firmware, jailbroken with blackra1n. Unfortunately it has to be jailbraken every time i turn it off, so i decided to restore it to its original firmware. But apple won´t verify any restore (even original from iTunes), it says that device isnt eligible for requested bulid or it throws an error (3004 i think). I tried putting "74.208.105.172 gs.apple.com" to my host configuration file, with no help. Does anybody have a solution? Thank you for any help.

If you didn't have you 3.1.2 SHSH on file then you can only go to 3.1.3.

I just wanted to verify that I have this problem too... saw this thread looking for a solution but I guess it should be put out there. APPLE IS NOT VERIFIYING ANY RESTORE ON 3GS.
I can however get 4.0 betas still but no 3.1.3

Yup me too, I just restored last night with no problem at all. Try deleting the firmware iTunes has store, and have iTunes download a fresh one.

You can only use SHSH Blobs to restore when youre jailbroken
Since Apple stopped verifying restores for jailbroken iDevices, you have to use SHSH Blobs to downgrade, then try restoring.
