Getting photos off of jailbroken iPhone 3g?

Hey,

So, I jailbroke my iPhone 3g, in hopes of transferring some photos to my PC. I can't figure out how to do it, though. I've also tried to transfer them using the scanners and cameras wizard, but my computer wouldn't recognize my phone as a device. What should I do?

Also, should I hold off on upgrading to 3.1.3, until I get them off? Does upgrading restore the iPhone back to factory settings and undo jailbreaking?

Don't upgrade to 3.1.3! - iPhone OS 3.1.3 Released - Jailbreakers & Unlockers: Do *NOT* Update!

If you have SSH you could easily SSH them off the phone onto your PC.

/User/Media/DCIM/100APPLE” folder. All your photos in camera roll are stored in this folder.
