Restoring iPhone
OK, so basically I'm having major problems with my iPhone internet, works fine on Wifi but when I'm out and about, work etc it just wont connect to the internet.
I rang o2 up and they couldn't sort the problem, they sent me a new sim card and transferred all my stuff over, number, free internet for a year etc and it still didn't work so we've established that it's the phone that's faulty.
Now I've got to take it back to the shop and they will more and likely change it once they've had a good look themselves.
Now before i take it back I'd like to restore it to see what happens even though o2 said it wont do anything, but I'm willing to try anyway.
When i go to restore it says it will restore with the latest firmware which is 3.1.3 and obviously i don't want that so how would i go about restoring it but not with 3.1.3?? i need 3.1.2.
Thanks for any feedback

Well only thing i can think of is shift click restore and direct it to 3.1.2.(if you have downloaded 3.1.2 from somewhere like HERE)
Not sure if that will sill work or not, but its an idea lol
Also i had another idea, people say that when you restore/update w/e it connects to apples servers or w/e. Anyone think of unplugging/disabling their internet when doing it? >.>
Not sure if the version of itunes matters either. like if it will have 3.1.3 saved in the new itunes or not.(so if it doesnt work with new itunes try to find somewhere to download older version).
Lemme know if it works so i know for myself.OpenFient/Any other gametype: JBone1337

Hey,
When i tried what you said it says:
The iPhone could not be restored because the firmware file is not compatible.
Hmmm....

Oh right lol ok.
I think I'll just restore it in iTunes to 3.1.3 as i haven no option then take it back to my local Apple store as I've been told to.
They said they will just have a quick look themselves then just give me a brand new phone so I'm happy with that as long as it works on the internet lol.
They said they will set it all up in store through iTunes so then they know I'll walk out with a working phone so i guess I'll have to look into a way of getting 3.1.3 off somehow and getting 3.1.2 installed back on when i get back home.
