My wife's 8GB 3G JB 3.1.2 has started having so weird issues lately. I suspect it's all AT&T related but after calling them they said everything looks good on their end and that we need to bring it into a store for further troubleshooting. However, doing that I know they are probably going to say something about it being jailbroken or possibly update it to 3.1.3 which would be bad news.

Here are the issues it's having....
-no visual voicemail. If she calls voicemail she can check it the regular way but no indication of received VM's on the phone or way to check other than dialing out(holding 1).
-Receives text messages, but ones she sends out to me are being delayed 2-3 days if they get there at all.

I've done the "reset network settings" to the phone and I'd like to do a full restore but if I do, will iTunes automatically install 3.1.3?

Thanks for any suggestions or help. I guess worst case we'll just have the bit the bullet and go with a non-jailbroken phone but my wife would really love to be able to keep her lockcalendar app.
