blackra1n via flash drive?

apple recently replaced my phone with a new 3gs with the new bootrom. I plugged in my phone one day and it shorted out, so they kindly replaced it

i desperately miss having my jailbreak but i can't afford to risk having a tethered one. I'm on the road during the day and can't risk being without my phone if it reboots.


would it be possible to install blackra1n on a USB drive and plug it into my phone and run it that way? I know you can run programs off a usb drive but i don't know if this would be possible.

not possible. geohot would have to develop a booting dongle but it would be quite expensive

I think you will have some trouble trying to connect USB to 30 pin :P
