Deleted AppStore.app from phone and need original file please for 3.0.1

I removed via SSH itunes, voice memo, appstore and stock app from iphone during restore back to iphone lost original appstore file and unable to find the file all others reinstalled fine just do not have appstore now. Have found the stock appstore from downloads but is missing files and crashes when opening. If some one can upload the original I would be very thankful.

I think when you mess with stuff through SSH like that you need to restore. For instance, if you went in through SSH to change the AppStore's default icon (not through themes/winterboard) it breaks some sort of coding on it that basically leaves it not functional. Regardless of re-applying the stock icon back or reinstalling the actual entire app, it will still not function.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know it might just be permanently damaged until you do a full restore. Unless somebody is a techno-genius and would like to expound on how to properly re-install the app through SSH without a restore.

Just bought this iPod from this guy , the app store is missing , and. I can't get apps from the iTunes store on the computer.

1st generation & idk what firmwire is I'm only 13 and I literally just got this 2 hours ago

Ok, well you should be able to check in the settings in general>about under "version".

But regardless, it's a 1st gen so that's no problem. Go ahead and hit update in iTunes to update your device. It will update to 3.1.3 for a first gen (absolutely make sure this is a first gen because my instructions will screw you up if it isn't a first gen).

You should then be restored an have access to your app store again. If you'd like to jailbreak, read on.

After updating to 3.1.3, go download a stock 3.1.2 ipsw and Redsn0w 0.9.4.

Open redsn0w and point at the 3.1.2 ipsw. Then tick "Cydia" only (unless you know how the other options work, just dont select "already pwned") Then set the device into DFU by turning your device off. Hold home and power until apple logo shows and the screen goes black. As soon as it goes black, release the power button but continue to hold home button until redsn0w proceeds to jailbreak.

Let redsn0w finish (you're progressing if you see the running pineapple). Then you should be all done jailbroken and all

No it won't do anything to your computer...

Get Redsn0w 0.9.4 by Google. There's no exact site I can link you to, I always Google it. You can get the stock 3.1.2 fw in our Downloads section here on MMi.

Wow that's very old. Yep that's a first gen. Yeah just follow my instructions to get to 3.1.3 and you'll be fine.
