Can i Jailbreak my iphone if i have a 2 year service plan/data plan? Im on AT&T if that matters

Will i be charged extra for tethering? I ready some where that if you are with at&t and use tethering the try to charge you an extra $30

Right now there is no tethering plan for the iPhone on ATT, so as of right now no extra charge. But if they happen to catch you doing activities that seem like you are tethering then they may charge you.
