    Default Blackra1n success..sort of - need help

Just upgraded from 3g to 3gs 3 days ago.

decided to jailbrake again and thought i would go the pwnage route. Tried that and had problems at the office so went after it again this weekend. ON a pc now and went with blackra1n. Worked great and only took 1 try and about 3 min.

Now the problem-if i turn the phone off or a new installed program requires a reboot it goes to dfu mode (shows usb and itunes logo). i plug in and run blackra1n again and it's no problem, but i can't stay by the computer all day incase i need to reboot.

    anyone have a solution???

There is no spoon .. err ... I mean, there is no solution.

You have one of the new 3gs with updated bootrom meaning you can only run tethered jailbreak which means you'll need to be near a computer whenever you want to reboot/restart/turn on your phone.

Since that is the case how do I restore back to before blackra1n. When in restore mode blackrain will work but when in try to use the iTunes default restore it hangs up on the "preparing iPhone" and never leaves the recovery mode. I have tried different USB ports.

Plug phone in, close down itunes and run blackra1n again - you will have to keep doing this if you switch the phone off completely - a pain in the @ss (I'm in the same situation) but I'd rather this way than no JB.

Alternatively Put the phone in DFU mode and restore it and wait till a working JB is issued.
