Upgrade iPhone 3g from 2.2 to 3.0
Hi people, I was just wondering is there an easy way for me? Currently I have a 2.2 3g which is both unlocked and jailbroken (it was unlocked when I bought it but not jailbroken and I jailbroken it by Quickpwn). Now I want to upgrade to 3.0 but I am not sure which way to go, whether to upgrade to original 3.0 and then unlocking and jailbreaking it again or just use a custom ipsw? Thanks for your help

*btw I have access to Linux and Windows, and my iPhone's modem firmware is: 02.28.00 and Carrier is 2.9 in case these informations are neededLast edited by Anarion1191; 11-12-2009 at 12:23 PM.

if i was you i'd go to 3.1 or 3.1.2 and have all the bugs and tweaks fixed.
Simply restore to 3.1
download blackweather
run that
once your phone has been "jailbroken"
run blackra1n and install cydia, rock or icy..(think thats the choices.)
run blacksn0w
remove blackra1n from phone
enjoy
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

You will need to restore to 3.1.2 for blackra1n to run with no issues.
