    Default upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1

    i have a first gen iphone jailroken and unlocked on 3.0
    what do i need to know to upgrade to 3.1?
    am i gonna lose any info?

    any help on this one?

    You will lose ALL your jailbroken apps which you will have to reinstall manually unless you attempt to use an app like aptbackup or pkgbackup which sometimes have issues. You will want to make a back-up in iTunes to save all your app store apps and contacts.

    Restore in iTunes to 3.1.2 then use blackra1n to jailbreak. Your phone will remain unlocked because the baseband doesn't change.

    am too on 3.0... 2g(unlock)..so just update in itunes and use blackra1n...and it would work all good...

    Okay... You say RESTORE, others say UPDATE... which one do i do and if i chose restore, does that mean i will need a custom IPSW to restore with since i will also need JB/unlock, using a T-mobile SIM...? (Windows Vista 64 bit)
