IPHONE gets stuck in restore(DCU) mode when running blackra1n.

1. I connect my phone to computer
2. close itunes
3. run blackra1n.exe
4. press make it rain
5. when blackra1n says entering restore mode my phone never comes out of that mode. the screen is where a USB cable is plugging into the itunes logo.
6. have to hold down home and power button to get out of it.

Has anyone seen this and if so how to be able to run blackra1n/jailbreak my iphone 3g with 3.1.2 firmware.

Downloaded blackra1n and tried again and this worked.

Pretty much the same here,although Blackrain installs but everytime i reboot the phone afterwards I have to connect to itunes and do a restore.

What was the solution? Keep running blackra1n?

I downloaded blackra1n again and used the newer blackra1n and that worked. It must have been a bad download the first time.

I had this problem but I ended up jailbreaking these are some solutions
( once you install blackra1n, restart ur computer system before u try these steps, seriously)
1. Change USB ports from to back or just switch between
2. If it doesn't work on the computer ur using then switch to laptop or just reverse the process using a different computer
3. Ask meelch here in the forums because he fixed my problems step by step

many people have been saying that you have to "Run as adminster" which is not true
4. Check ur firewall and check the box that you don't want to be blocked
5. You can run in compatibility modes but u don't have to but I'd try the first time. If not succesfull, don't run in compatibility
