So yesterday I upgraded from the 3G to the 3GS. I no longer want AT&T and want to take my phone over to tmobile. I am not the most tech savy, but I have been doing a little bit of research on unlocking Iphones. From what I learned, I am going to have to jailbreak my phone before I unlock it, correct? I've seen that a new program is coming out tomorrow that will enable me to do this with the firmware version I have. 3.1.2 (7D11) 5.11.07. Please tell me there is hope for me and I can free myself of this $130 bill I get each month. If so I will need help running the program. BTW I use a Windows OS.
Your research is correct. The release date has been pushed up to today though. You can jailbreak your phone with blackra1n now and then use blacksn0w when it comes out later today for the unlock.
