How safe is Jailbreaking an iphone?
Hiya,
Yes im a little paranoid but how safe is it to unlock your phone and installed custom apps, could any of them be spying on your data or anything or am i just being very paranoid. I know thousands Jailbreak there phones etc, but its just me

if you are worried about apps spying your data, you can't install appstore apps either. they can spy like hell.
so basically: yes, they can spy, but there are none known that do so from cydia

Does the JB'ing remove any of the safety features from the phone or anything or does it just remove the lock apple put on it?

only if you wish it to. for example, there is an option in SBSettings to remove the apple killswitch, that allows apple to remove any app they want from your phone without your permission.
but if anything, jailbreaking adds safety thanks to software like an iphone firewall (available in cydia) or PrivaCy (anti-spy software, also available through cydia)
