Default Protection from future firmware question.

I currently have 3GS 3.1.2 jailbroken. In case my iPhone needs a restore when Apple will have released 3.2 or 3.3, how can I make sure I can restore to 3.1.2 if Apple stops signing it??? I have backed up my SHSH blob files with firmware umbrella, but I cannot get Cydia to work at backing my files up. 3 weeks ago or so I pressed "Make my life easier" on Cydia and it is STILL saying "This device has a pending TSS request." It's been over 3 weeks now??? Is it ever going to change??? I cannot downgrade using Saurik's server if this doesn't change. Any ideas??? Thanks

That's odd. I jailbroke a 3GS a couple of days ago and put it on 3.1.2 and the TSS request through Cydia was handled within two or three minutes.
