Iphone unlocked installer 3.11 sync applic from itunes 9.0?

Hi, I have iphone 1.13 and installer is 3.11 this is older than 2nd gereration phone. I wanted to download applications from itunes. I had 8.12 itunes before and was not able to download applications so I just updated to 9.0 itunes so that you see App tab and you can sync applications to your iphone? My question is this - If I sync my phone with 9.0 Itunes will it lock my iphone? Is it safe to sync with 9.0 Itunes?

Hi, Thanks for responding. So this wont lock my iphone right since I have heard if you update itunes etc this locks your iphone? thanks

Okay I am ready to just sync now - but I dont see Applications tab on Itunes 9.0??? I thought there is supposed to be there. How do I download application from Itunes 9.0 to my Iphone?

Is your phone plugged in? Are you on your phone page?

Yes it is plugged in. And I am clicked on Iphone ( Under Devices) And I see Summar, Music, Movies, Ringtones, Podcasts, Itunes U, Photos, but I dont see Applications. And app was supposed to be there on Itunes 9.0 realase? is my phone not going to see the app tab cuz of the 1.14 firware of the phone?

FW 1.1.4 didn't support the app store.
You can get apps unless you upgrade to at least 2.0

Hi, Thanks for responding. I am really new to all this. I havnet updated my phone since I got it. Ahh How do i upgrade to 2.0 firmware without locking my phone? Is it easy or even possible?
