Fixing Battery depletion of JB Iphone 3gs running 3.0
Hi,
I have an jailbroken and unlocked iphone 3gs running 3.0 firmware, but after I jailbroken it the battery life started to last less then one day.
I read on the dev team page that a full restore would usually solve this battery issue, but currently it seems that it is impossible to to restore it without updating to 3.1, which would basically mean that if i restore it i will never going to be able to unlock it anymore.
I dont seem to have my ECID on cydia since when i changed the hosts file and tried to restore the phone i got unknown error (3002).
Anyone has any idea how can I fix the battery issue without upgrading to 3.1?
Thanks,
Antonio

I've got exactly the same Problem, only that I have 3.0.1 running, which seems to make no difference since apple isn't signing new shsh's for 3.0 and 3.0.1 anymore.
I've been reading various posts all over the web for the last 2 hours and as far as I understood... we can't do anything about it at the moment.
You have to get your shsh signed now with cydia that you have a chance of restoring when the jailbreak for 3.1 is out.
I think we have to wait till there is a PwnageTool for 3.1 that updates the phone without updating the baseband... then we can restore to 3.1 if we have the shsh's for 3.1.
Am I right?
