Little question

Hey Guys, im just a bit confused and need something clearing up. The 3.1 update is the first one to be released while im jailbroken so im not sure what im supposed to do, i know i wait, obviously, until the jailbreak is cracked. So my question really is:

When 3.l is cracked do i just update to it in itunes and re-jailbreak or do i have to restore (dfu mode? or is this just if i want to wipe clean of jailbreak evidence) then upgrade and THEN jailbreak.

When 3.1 is cracked, there will instructions on what to do. we don't know for sure how it will work.
