need hlp with unziping firmware 3.0
I have been trying to download the 3.0 firmware for my iphone 3g but every timr I go to download and get it it says that the file is zipped how would I unzip the file
Please help me

Don't unzip it, rename the extension to .ipsw

how would I do that I'm sorry for the ignorance but not to great with computers would I open the file or save it ? then am I supposed to extract it when it is done ?

right click on the file and choose rename, then you can change the extension.

Then out what erase the zip part and put In ipsw do open file or save to my computer

it looks like this right?
iPhone1,2_3.0_Restore.ipsw.zip
remove the .zip
iPhone1,2_3.0_Restore.ipsw
done!
