Pkgbackup crashing etc

Seen a few threads about this app crashing and sure enough I had the same problems with it crashing just as it appeared to write the files and I went through numerous removals and re-installs with no joy.

But I fixed it (well it's worked for me) by re-installing the "basic-cmds" package from cydia which I know that Pkgbackup installs and uses during it's backup process.
