[Help] iPhone3g Unable to upgrade from 2.2.1 to 3.0
As stated in the title while i was updating to 3.0 through manual shift+restore from 3.0.ispw but during the process of updating i ended up getting an error message "The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured (0).
also i have retried serveral times and even tried shift+update and it stills wun work. so is there anyone mind helping?

Hope you don't mind that I'm adding to your post but I'm about to do the same upgrade as you are from 2.2.1 to 3.0.
Is there anything I should look out for? I have the ispw for 3.0 saved on my computer and will do the Shift + Restore. I read on another forum that 3.0 has a critical security hole?
Should I just upgrade to 3.0.1 in iTunes and then jailbreak with redsn0w?

You guys should just upgrade to 3.0.1
No need to Shift+restore too.. just click update or restore.I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something
