Thread: Stop iPhone sleeping

  1. #1
    Question Stop iPhone sleeping
Is there an app out there that will keep the my iphone active and stop it going to sleep.

It gets frustrating when using SSH and it goes to sleep and stops responding.

    Many Thanks

    Settings > General > Auto-lock > Never

Or you could get the insomnia app from cydia that lets things run even when the screen goes into "sleep mode" (like SSH & wifi) but make sure you turn it off when you're not using it since it doesn't let the phone truly sleep so battery goes

I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

I use the autolock button on SBSettings which essentially does the same thing as going into setting and enabling/disabling. Also, imsomnia is a must for long SSH/FTP sessions.
