Rain or snow whats the forcast?

I know that Purplesn0w RC2 is to unlock. I use AT&T so would not have to unlock but should I just do it. I used purplera1n to jailbreak but I read that snow does not use any ram. So does that mean I should go to snow. And when it is unlocked I can still use AT&T right? I AM NEW TO THIS! I have been out of the states for a while sitting around doing nothing so my buddy told me to get the new iphone 3gs to pass the time away. So I just would like to learn more and make my iphone run even better.
