It seems that although Apple was finally trying to target the Enterprise space (corporate market) with the hardware encryption, I don't know if they tried hard enough.
I work for an Investment firm that has oversite from FINRA/NASD which will require all email devices be encrypted by 1/1/2010 (They are shutting off exchange access to our iPhones effective 12/31/09).
Here's what we need to figure out:
1. Are any firms working on a fix to make the iPhone secure enough for corporate use?
2. If so, would it still be jailbreakable?
3. If not, can anyone help to find a way to "emulate" a windows mobile device on exchange server?
I believe 3 will entail having the iphone's password certificate look like that of a WM device.
Any ideas on any of this? I have started a "Pry iPhone From Our Cold Dead Fingers" society at our company ;-)
