Winterboard does not work on my 3gs
I just got my 3gs and JB it as soon as I could. I used Purplera1n for the JB. Then I installed winterboard and the app is not responding. When I click on the app a check mark came up and that is it. And when I tryed to turn it off the phone swtched over to voice control.
What do I need to do?

Have you tried removing winterboard and mobilesubstrate then reinstalling them?

Yes I removed and installed but still does not work.

I would try doing a full DFU restore then re jailbreak and try again.

Can you take a screen shot of what is happening? It would be helpful. power button + home at the same time. I want to see this check mark thing please

I am unable to do that right now my wife is doing this for me. I am in Iraq right now and trying to tell her how to do this. How do I fix the mobilesubstrate? I am sorry I dont know what that is. I thought all I had to do is find winterboard on cydia and install.
