I want to upgrade to 3.0, but I want to save some certain files

Okay, so I want to make the jump and upgrade my jailbroken 2g iPhone running 2.2.1 firmware to 3.0 firmware and jailbreak it.

However, I want to keep certain files. These files are my notes, and some videos from the videorecorder3g app.

How can I do this, and put them onto the jailbroken 3.0 firmware?

The notes app should sync into Itunes and for the vids, you'll have to SSH into the phone and download them onto your PC.

Notes should be saved in the backup that iTunes made, but regardless you can SSH in and copy the entire folder: /private/var/mobile/Library/Notes

I don't have VideoRecorder3G but the videos would probably be saved in /private/var/mobile/Library also. Look in that folder for a folder called Videos or Recorded Videos or something.

I can't find the videos; I went to the directory that I was told to go to, but my videos were not there.
