Can iPhone 3GS be Jailbroken on Mac OS X?

I know there are many OSX users out there and I'm curious to know if anyone has tried installing purplera1n on their Mac using VMWare, Parallels, CrossOver or Boot Camp and successfully jailbroken their 3GS. I successfully installed Purplera1n using CrossOver but when I click "Make it Rain" it just crashes. I installed it on a Windows XP and Vista Bottle but no luck.

there probably is. make sure you set your usb options to automatically connect to parallels, or else the phone wont be detected by windows when it reboots because the device name is different when the phone is in recovery mode.

I saw someone post that GeoHot told them via Twitter that a OS X release will be soon. However, I do not know Geo's definition of soon so don't hold me to that. Also, I have not seen proof of him saying so.

I just used purplera1n for the Mac OS X and it worked great!

PS. When I made this thread purplera1n was windows only.
