I have disabled "Fetch new data" in Settings. Yet ever since upgrading to 3.0 i've noticed that when i press the contacts icon on the homescreen it opens the contacts list fine but automatically starts my mail app and fetches new emails in the background.

Very irritating and yet i don't know why it does it, or how to disable it.

Anyone know how?

I found the problem.. it was the "attachments= for mailto:" cydia app. Uninstalled it from cydia and rebooted. No more Mail app opening and fetching when checking contacts.

Works now.
