Hi I recently purchased from a friend a 1st generation 2g unlocked iphone fully update with 2.2.1 version. yesterday tried to upgrade to version 3. This is what i got in my itune the message was this sim card inserted is not supported. only compartable sim card which came with the carier can be used to activate your iphone. on my phone i have the picture of itunes and asking to insert the cable. But i am recieving sms as well as calls. does this mean the phone got locked. would you please tell me how i can upgrade to version 3 as well as unlock and use the phone.
