No, you have to put you phone into a standard restore and DFU restore. It grabs the files for you.

Ok thanks, I seen how to do that so i should be able to figure it out. Just really started to get into messing with the iphone. This i'm getting ready for my wife's 3Gs.

It is really simple put the phone in recovery mode not DFU.

Plug you iphone into the computer.
Turn it off.
As soon as it powers off hold the home button.
BAM your in recovery mode
Open ECID Grabber,check the auto download box,
then press the button GET ECID
